Italian 'light as a feather' all-wool dressweight woven

From designer deadstock and made in Italy, this is a stunning 100% wool lightweight woven. It is not quite opaque and has some firmness in the drape. A highly unique fabric! The dry, slightly textured hand and drape is similar to a linen woven. The outstanding, yarn-dyed "light as a feather" design is woven with an 8" vertical repeat and features a multitude of warm earthtones. The reverse is a darker and more mellow inversion of the design, and either side could be used as the face. The weight is perfect for a tunic, shirt, lined dress or skirt, blouse, etc. Hand wash separately, cold and lay flat to dry, or dry clean. Medium iron (please test first!).
